New group pieces...
After working through the winter investigating new works on a small scale, I've recently completed several new multi-panel pieces.  Here are the first 3 to be completed.

Winter Light--A reflection on the first signs of a thaw in winter...growing movement, shifting, a pushing through to new life and beginnings...

Winter Light, encaustic on 20 panels, 52" x 66", 2012

Prelude no. 2 (After Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun)
encaustic on 20 panels, 46" x 36", 2012

New Encaustic Paintings

Etude no. 27, encaustic on panel, 12.5 x 26 in., 2012

This winter, I've been working on a large series of smaller panels--diptychs and triptychs that I call Etudes.  The smaller scale has allowed me to experiment and play with color, visual structure, and with process.  These Etudes, or studies, have opened new territory, and I'm not working on larger groups of panels and some very new experiments.  More to come as new work is complete and photographed.

Etude no. 10, encaustic on panel, 8.2 x 16.2 in., 2011-12

Etude no. 17, encaustic on panel, 10.2 x 16.2 in., 2012

Etude no. 21, encaustic on panel, 16 x 8 in., 2011-12

Etude no. 1, encaustic on panel, 8.2 x 16.4 in., 2011

Etude no. 6, encaustic on panel, 16.2 x 8.2  in., 2011-12
